IT MAKES ME WANT TO FLY

Instead of going to bed I was awaken by coming across these photos. They were taken by Anka Zhuravleva . Maybe you've heard about her maybe you've not yet. Well, I haven't until this moment and now I know I've missed something. This stuff is super surreal and I (not) only wonder what do you need to do to obtain such an amazing gems as these are.

So, stay awake and watch at least this brief preview...

Summary

Well, nothing extra-crucial as far as this post is concerned. Just:

- today's such a beautiful day has reminded me one aftrenoon captured on the pic above : st.james's park, summer breeze and friends
- to grab a free print of BEAT magazine has certainly turned out to be an endless source of music inspiration (u can find a bit on their website here)
- still in love with Esben and The Witch (or their Violent Cries over and over)
- my landlord is a great guy
- shouldn't have waited so long thinking about the in/appropriateness of underground creepers shoes cause it seems there are no more pairs available in my size

- this red wine is delicious

Gloomy ?

One might think so concerning you're taking photos in the cemetery. However, in this case it's not necessarily like that. Abney Park Cemetery - certainly one of the most intriguing places I've been to here in London. First time I got there when Bára took me at that charming place (thanks !) about two months ago. Afterwards I had to pop in there once again together with my camera...

Reflections

a bit of a 'reflecting' preview of Sinta Werner work. Im overall visually crushed by her mirror installations in particular. The creations when she optically disrupt the space and makes you feel confused about the basic perceptions - it really fascinate me. Check the link above if you want to be introduced into her magnificent world of unusual visions.

Sunny Memories

of one of a very few shiny days spent in Brighton. As for now I'm rushing to one party at London Fashion Week. Very curisous about it... let's see!

INDEFINITY x ETERNITY = ? ? ?

I do not completely get terms like these. How to perceive them? Etheir to explain or (what's even more) to imagine?

However, what I do like is the artist Alicia Eggert.

The Elements

Fire, Earth, Water.. or just three colored oddly-shaped stains on the black wall.. or - whatever.
That's one part of the street art project out of Borough Station.

Where do you sleep tonight ?

One could have wondered what the answer would be. One could have wondered where this place for having a rest is. Look carefully behind the glass door...

"CLOSER TO GOD".
That's the answer.
That's the place where someone does sleep tonight. That's the side entrance of the beautiful church in the heart of Lndn where someone has taken out his sleeping bag.

Beyond Retro

I took a notice of an enormous kind of fabric space filled up with clothes and having a sign "vintage" above the entrance when I was passing by in Dalston.
Thus I had to get off the bus at the next stop and ran back to have a closer look what's going on.
As I found out "Beyond Retro" is openning a new space there. Quoting their website: "space is huge, the coffee from our in-store café is delicious, the furniture delectable and, most importantly, the clothes are to die for!"

Having a free aftrenoon tomorrow there is no other choice than to grab a bit of my savings and head out there. Anyway, I need to cheer up, right?

Is it really over ?

It's blowing my mind away... So intense. All those memories are back. That's like when it's over. Again.

The Divine Sarah

One amazing person I've met on my 'pilgramage'.
Sarah.

Unlucikly she's already left Lndn. However, I'm pleased to meet you and and truly hope we'll meet again!
London suits you.
And you suits London!

Wire Wall

Walking around this precious wire wall several times a week. Situated on the outside of a building Guy’s Hospital on Great Maze Pond st, near the Guy's Kings College Campusmade. Made of stainless steel braid.
And always looks a bit different every time I'm passing by depending on the part of the day.

That time I managed to capture it's shiny reflections in the night streetlight. I was utterly charmed by the glossy steel giant standing above me.

In The Garden

The centre of the Serpentine Gallery Pavillion designed by Peter Zumthor.
Stunning.

The Mirror of Judgement

The curious Pistoletto’s exhibition "The Mirror of Judgement" is taking place at the Serpentine Gallery. As I gained some time I managed to pop into there last week and to see how is it looks like.
Unluckily taken pictures was not allowed there so I couldn't take it down my own way.. However, this video will draw you through the cardboard labyrinth and gives you an overall brief overview.

Talking about judgement I remember an interesting article taking an issue with this topic. There was a summary suggested that the reason of giving snap judgements is that our sense of self is defined by other's failure in many cases and not by our own solo success. I'm trying to think back to the last time I felt being judged or I did judge someone... Is it true that we judge people based on what we feel most insecure about?
